FSU wide receiver named freshman to watch by ESPN

Four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs is coming into his college football career with a ton of momentum. The Cocoa High School star registered 99 receptions for 2,133 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. In the semifinals of the Florida state playoffs, Boggs set a single-game record with 378 yards receiving on 17 receptions and scored three touchdowns.

Of course, performing at that level in college is a completely different challenge. Billy Tucker of ESPN feels that Boggs has a good shot to come on and make an impact. After naming his top 10 freshmen for 2025, he mentioned Boggs as a player to watch.

The Seminoles are currently holding their fall camp as they prepare to turn things around from going 2-10 last season. Boggs has been one of the standouts, but he’s been turning heads since earlier this summer.

“I’ve got somebody that’s gonna surprise y’all this year,” transfer cornerback Jeremiah Wilson told Noles247. “15. Last name Boggs. First name Wade. That boy, he’s cold. I like him a lot. He’s going to be a sleeper.”

It’s starting to become clear that transfers Duce Robinson and Squirrel White, along with Bogg,s will be the top three receivers for the Seminoles this year. So, Boggs will get plenty of opportunities to make plays.
