One of the biggest targets for Florida State this summer, four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole, will make his decision this Friday. The other two schools in contention are the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers.
For FSU, they’re looking to add another dynamic athlete along with three-star safety Jemari Foreman, who recently shut down his recruitment. Georgia has made a major push since the end of June and Tennessee hasn’t stopped pursuing, but as Poole gets set to announce his choice, Florida State still seems to have the advantage.
“Most signs are consistently pointing to FSU right now. That’s where the Crystal Ball predictions for UGA reporter Ben Wolk landed about a month ago…and I still feel confident about my prediction with the information at hand,” said Brendan Sonnone of Noles247.
The Seminoles got multiple crystal ball predictions for Poole plus Rivals granted them multiple projections. However, the fact that Georgia was able to land an official visit after Poole decided not to visit the Miami Hurricanes was huge because all signs pointed to Florida State after his official visit to Tallahassee on June 12.
After missing out on three-star running back Marquis Fennell and three-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough, FSU needs to secure Poole and put somewhat of a cherry on top of their 2027 recruiting class before the season starts.
Poole is the No. 64 player in the country and the No. 6 safety per 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 5 prospect in Georgia.
