Florida State entertained a slew of prospects last weekend as they look to secure more talent in the 2027 recruiting cycle. A major target on the offensive line, three-star recruit DaJohn Yarborough, was near the top of the list in terms of importance.
Not only does the 6-foot-5, 340-pounder have a July 11 decision date looming, but he takes his final official visit with the Washington Huskies this weekend. So, it was paramount for the Seminoles to put their best foot forward. Per Noles247, things are trending in the right direction for FSU to land Yarborough after his trip to Tallahassee.
This is very positive news for Florida State. Of course, they need to keep the momentum they have in recruiting as they’ve snagged five commitments in the 2027 cycle over the last 10 days. More importantly, they don’t have any commitments from an offensive lineman, which makes landing Yarborough a huge priority.
FSU received a prediction to get a pledge from him on Monday. Much like some of their other key targets, four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole and four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune, the Seminoles need to close Yarborough and start building the trenches on the offensive side of the ball.
The Basha High School star is the No. 429 overall player and the No. 26 interior offensive lineman per the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s the No. 9 recruit in Arizona as well.
