In addition to Florida State pounding the pavement to add uncommitted prospects, they’re also locked in on a few flip targets. One of the biggest is four-star cornerback Brody Jennings who is currently committed to the Michigan Wolverines.
The Seminoles have strong ties to Jennings. His father, Bradley, played for FSU from 1997 to 2001. Speaking of family, Jennings had multiple members with him for his visit to Tallahassee, and everything involved was pleased.
“It was a good visit. Me and my mom, my little sister, we liked everything we’ve seen,” Jennings said via Noles247. “Got a great feel for the whole school, the whole environment. So year, a good visit.”
Jennings is currently the No. 277 overall recruit and the No. 24 cornerback per the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Florida, he’s the No. 43 ranked player.
Jennings plays a position that FSU has had success with when it comes to producing the NFL. The most noticeable as of late are guys like Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James, and Asante Samuel Jr. to name a few.
When discussing why he felt like he needed another trip to Tallahassee, Jennings mentioned the pedigree of Seminoles’ defensive backs.
“Definitely a school where I could see myself being successful. And you know, my dad played here, too, and he was successful here. And then they put a lot of DBs in the league, developed them,” Jennings said. “This is like a real school where you can be a great DB at and let your name be known, who you are. You can do great things here.”
Jennings has an official visit this weekend with Michigan as they try to secure his commitment for good before he makes his final decision. However, Florida State has raised its stock with Jennings.
“I would say like a good amount. Definitely it’s a great school. Relationship with the coaches, I like everything I see. Like I said, I got a feel for the players and how they look at it,” Jennings said.
It won’t take long to see if the Seminoles have done enough to get Jennings to Tallahassee.
