Recruiting intriguing and/or unorthodox prospects is nothing new for the Florida State Seminoles, and the recruiting trail has made a stop at Coral Gables Senior High (FL) for a prospect originally from England.
Luke Francis, a 6’5″, 335-pound lineman, camped with Florida State’s football program per Chris Nee of Noles247, and he came out of it enthusiastic about his chances to play for a big-time college football program.
Despite being unranked by 247Sports, this did not stop the Seminoles from offering Francis after a great showing at Wednesday’s camp. He reportedly spoke with head coach Mike Norvell and told Noles247 that it was “very inspirational.” He added that “I have to work my backside off as much as possible, because I want to be able to play on a stage like this at such a great school, such as Florida State.”
Francis also has offers from the Georgia State Panthers and Syracuse Orange. However, he has an official visit planned at Florida State on June 20.
“No matter what the season holds, no matter what anything holds, the standard is the standard,” Francis concluded.
