Florida State football has landed a commitment from 4-star Mississippi defensive lineman Sam LeJeune, he announced during a commitment ceremony live-streamed on 247Sports’ social media.
LeJeune was a priority target for the program, and he immediately becomes one of the top players in the Seminoles Class of 2027, ranked the 119th best player in the nation and 11th best defensive lineman by the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman from Poplarville High School picks FSU over offers from Cal and Auburn, among others.
In his junior season with Poplarville (8-5 in 2026), LeJeune posted 58 tackles, 14 for loss, four sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception. LeJeune is an explosive athlete and fills a position of need for the Seminoles in the recruiting class.
He is the second commitment in as many days for the Seminoles, who landed 3-star linebacker CJ Ohuabunwa from Greater Atlanta Christian School on Tuesday.
