Two former Spartans to participate in Pittsburgh Penguins camp

A pair of former Michigan State hockey standouts are going to get their chance at impressing an NHL franchise and continuing their path to the league. With development camps around the corner, many players are looking to make their mark and impressions on NHL organizations.

For the Pittsburgh Penguins, a pair of Spartans will be attending their annual prospect development camp at the end of the month, with Daniel Russell and Tiernan Shoudy getting the invite.

Between Russell and Shoudy, the pair spent the last four years playing together in East Lansing, appearing in 150 games apiece, and leading MSU into the Adam Nightingale era with success. Now, the former Spartans will look to make their mark on a professional career together with the Penguins.
