FSU flip target cancels official visit

The FSU Seminoles are still looking for the first edge commitment of their 2026 recruiting class. One of their targets is Kamron Wilson, a four-star prospect who is committed to the Syracuse Orange.

Florida State is working to change that, and they were supposed to host him on an official visit this weekend. That will no longer be happening as he announced on X that he will instead be returning to Syracuse for an unofficial visit.

Wilson committed to Syracuse on March 30, but his recruitment is far from over. The Miami native has taken official visits to see the Orange, UCF Bulls, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Mississippi State Bulldogs. FSU will now have to work to try and set up a new date for Wilson if they want to flip him from Syracuse.

He is the No. 399 overall player and No. 37 edge in the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 58 player from Florida.

He had a breakout junior season for Southridge High School, where he recorded 118 tackles, 32.0 tackles for loss, 17.0 sacks, and one forced fumble. The Miami Herald named him to their All-Dade First-Team Defense.
