FSU cornerback target projected to ACC program

The FSU Seminoles are working to assemble an elite cornerback recruiting class, and one of their top targets is Lasiah Jackson, a four-star prospect who attends Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia. Florida State has had success at his high school, landing four-star running back Ousmane Kromah last year.

While they have hosted Jackson on multiple visits, it does not appear they will be able to do the same. The Stanford Cardinal, who hosted him on an official visit earlier this summer, has emerged as the favorite in his recruitment. Brendan Sonnone, who covers FSU for Noles247, placed a crystal ball for him to commit to Stanford on Saturday.

Jackson is the No. 123 overall player and No. 13 cornerback in the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 17 player from Georgia.

It would be a blow to miss out on Jackson, who the Seminoles offered a scholarship to in January. He has taken multiple visits to Tallahassee, including an official visit last weekend, and they have the advantage of having his former teammate in Kromah.

While he has not yet set a commitment time, FSU will need to get to work to see if they can get the momentum in his recruitment and convince him to stay closer to home.
