The FSU Seminoles have already suffered multiple decommitments to their secondary in the 2027 recruiting cycle, and they are fighting to prevent another one. Three-star safety Jemari Foreman is the only defensive back committed to Florida State, but the Louisville Cardinals are pushing hard for a flip.
They were able to make some progress in those efforts this past weekend when they hosted him on an official visit.
“I took an official visit last week. It was good. I really liked it,” Foreman told Tom Loy of 247Sports. “Louisville produces guys. They put guys in the league. They have a good history with defensive backs.”
While they have made up some ground on FSU, the Seminoles have held his commitment since September of 2025 and will have a chance to retake the momentum this weekend when they host him on an official visit. He revealed that he will make a final decision shortly after his latest trip to Tallahassee.
“They are neck and neck right now,” said Foreman. “I take my Florida State visit next week on the 19th, and I’ll make a decision after that.”
Foreman is ranked as the No. 627 overall player and No. 61 safety in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 50 player from Florida. He had an extremely productive junior season at Plantation High School, finishing with 70 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups, 10 interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
