Florida State baseball returns to Dick Howser for the penultimate home ACC series of the season, starting with Pitt from Friday, May 1, to Sunday, May 3.
The No. 14 Seminoles (29-14, 12-9 ACC) are coming off a midweek win over South Florida, 9-1, on Wednesday, April 29. The win comes after FSU was swept by Stanford, only the second conference series loss of the season for the program.
Outfielder Brody DeLamielleure continued his hot hitting since he was an emergency substitute for John Stuetzer in the Seminoles series against Notre Dame. Since his appearance in game three of the sweep, he is 11-for-25 with six extra base hits, four doubles, and two home runs.
Pitt swept Virginia in the Panthers’ last ACC series, but they are coming off a shocking mid-week loss to Kent State, 13-5, on Wednesday. Pitt has three power bats that will challenge the Seminoles’ rotation in Lorenzo Carrier (16 HR), Caden Dulin (13 HR), and Sebastian Pisacreta (11 HR).
First pitch of the series for the Seminoles and Panthers is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at Dick Howser Stadium. Bookmark this page for live scores from the three-game series in Tallahassee.
