The FSU Seminoles have done it again.
They took a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning but four straight runs by Wake Forest tied the game in the seventh inning after Florida State was seemingly in complete control. The bullpen got things back on track after some early struggles and the offense took care of the rest as Max Williams hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning to win 5-4.
It is their second walk-off of the season and they improved to 25-4 overall and 8-2 in ACC play with the win. It capped off a great night as Howser was sold out and the Marching Cheifs were in attendance for the first time this season.
Williams wasn’t the only Seminole who had a great night, Alex Lodise reached base four times and hit his 12th homer of the season. Jamie Arnold looked like his old self after a slow start, striking out 10 batters in 5.0 scoreless innings.
