PANAMA CITY BEACH — Friday, July 11, is National French Fry Day, and restaurants are celebrating.
Wayback Burgers is offering $1 regular fries for all Rewards members, with no additional purchase necessary.

The special will be available at more than 170 locations nationwide, whether ordering in-restaurant, online or through the Wayback app.
Wayback has two locations in Bay County: 15750 Panama City Beach Parkway in Panama City Beach, and 1705 Florida 77 in Lynn Haven.
This offer will only be valid for Friday, July 11 and will remain exclusive for all rewards members only. The offer will not be valid through third-party delivery sites and it cannot be combined with any other coupons, offers or discounts.
“We’re excited to celebrate National French Fry Day once again and honor one of our most beloved menu items — our fresh, flavorful French fries,” Patrick Conlin, president of Wayback Burgers, said in a press release. “At Wayback, we take pride in the quality and taste of every item we serve, and we know every great burger deserves an equally great side.”
Checkers is celebrating National French Fry Day with a challenge
On July 11, Checkers will give a free large order of fries to customers who provide a receipt showing they purchased french fries recently from a competitor.
“Our famous seasoned fries have been voted the #1 Most Craveable Fries for a reason, and National French Fry Day is the perfect time to show guests why they should never settle again,” Chris Tebben, CEO of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc., said in a news release.
Other deals for National French Fry Day
McDonald’s has a “free fries Friday” deal. Wendy’s has a “Fryday” special where customers get a free order of fries with a purchase of $5 or more (deal expires July 14.) Burger King has specials for members of its Royal Perks loyalty program.
