Free beer in Florida next Friday! Miller Lite is celebrating 50 years of beers in all 50 states by giving out 50,000 free beers on International Beer Day next week. And more than 30 bars in Florida are participating.
“50 years. 50 states. 50k beers on us,” the Miller Lite website says.
To “Floridafy” it even more, the beer company teamed up with Floridian and SNL fan favorite Marcello Hernandez, who plays the namesake character of the popular “Domingo” sketches on SNL. One of his “Domingo” sketches even featured fellow Floridian Ariana Grande.
Earlier this summer, Miller Lite unveiled their partnership with Hernandez and kicked off the 50th anniversary celebration by releasing limited-edition gold cans.
Here’s when Miller Lite will be giving out free beer and how to find a participating bar near you.

Celebrate Miller Lite’s 50th anniversary from home
According to Miller Lite, there will be a way to celebrate from home, but details haven’t been announced yet.

Who plays Domingo on SNL?
In June, Miller Lite teamed up with Marcello Hernandez to kick off its 50th anniversary celebrations with a new ad campaign, dropping their SNL star-centered ad just a day after Colin Jost’s ad campaign with Blue Moon took off, LateNighter reported.
Miller Lite’s Hernandez ad shows a mock sports draft, announcing Hernández as its first pick in a fake 2025 lineup.
“Rocking sunglasses and seated beside his mom, Hernández beams as his name is called, then takes the stage to hoist a Miller Lite jersey and beer bottle — still sporting a big lipstick smudge on his cheek from Isabel,” LateNighter says. “A chyron flashes his hometown (Miami, Florida) and height: “5’8” (5’6” crossed out).”
If you don’t know, the fan-favorite “Domingo” sketch on SNL stars Floridian cast member Marcello Hernandez as a ladies’ man character named “Domingo” who’s known for having affairs with coupled-up women.
The sketch usually features the guest star of the episode and once included fellow Floridian Ariana Grande. The SNL 50th anniversary edition of the sketch featured appearances from Martin Short, Pedro Pascal, Andy Samberg, Bad Bunny, Molly Shannon and Sabrina Carpenter.
Hernandez is only the fourth Floridian to join the show. Since its debut in 1975, there have only ever been three other Florida cast members (out of 164): Darrell Hammond, Victoria Jackson and Maya Rudolph.
