Florida restaurant has Boston-style Americana fine dining on waterfront

A highly-anticipated fine dining restaurant inside a 1909 historical building will open on Memorial Day.

Boston House in Fort Pierce will be in the three-story brick building on Indian River Drive overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. It will open May 25 with limited reservations and lunch service.

The waterfront restaurant will feature an Americana menu and white-glove service that gives a nod to the Massachusetts city with oysters, porterhouse steaks, lobster rolls with caviar, New England clam chowder and over 10 signature cocktails, according to its social media platforms.

The 200-seat restaurant will have outside seating on the lawn, with astroturf to make it look like a grassy veranda, restaurant owner-operator Georgette Angelos previously told TCPalm.

Inside, the decor will aim to transport customers back in time through historical paintings, vintage furniture and meticulously selected wall paint and coverings, Angelos said.

The first floor has magnolia wallpaper, including the ceiling, and light olive green velvet booths, Angelos said. The second floor is painted dark red with an Old Florida-style bar called the “Hemingway Lounge,” meant to convey a speakeasy or hunting lodge vibe, Angelos said.

The third floor will be reserved for an exclusive members-only social club with perks.

There will be no mandatory dress code, but dressing up is encouraged.

The restaurant has hosted special events since December 2025, and plans to host more in the future. One current event is biweekly yoga on the lawn every other Saturday. Some events will be for members-only.

Chef Angela Acosta previously worked at Chuck’s Seafood Restaurant, The Fort Steakhouse and 121 Tapas.

The building, owned by Martin Mohr, previously was a law firm.

Before that, it was called “Cresthaven” when it was built by William T. Jones, a Flagler railroad engineer and St. Lucie County’s third sheriff. Mohr also co-owns the restaurant with Angelos.
