Florida New York-style cafe coming soon with coffee, breakfast sandwiches

A new cafe and breakfast sandwich spot is coming soon to Vero Beach’s west corridor.

Sunny’s Cafe on 20th Street (State Road 60) will serve New York-style breakfast sandwiches and light, fruity teas or decadent lattes with house-made syrups.

Owner Sunny Siegel is a New York native who recommends customers order the “meat, egg and cheese” breakfast sandwich.

Her father, Leonard Siegel, is helping with the build, setup and social media announcements.

The cafe’s sunny yellow logo, walls and decor are meant to capture the energy of the Sunshine State, she said.

“Things can be really gloomy at times and people can feel really down, so I wanted people to come in and feel uplifted,” she said. “Even if it’s pouring rain outside and you can’t even see the sun, you can at least come in and feel a little bit of warmth to the place.”
