Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on State Road 60 on the evening of April 12, Indian River County sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies went to the crash reported after 6 p.m. near mile marker 8 on S.R. 60 and found a man and woman were injured in the single-vehicle crash, said sheriff’s Lt. Kevin Jaworski.
Mile marker 8 is in western Indian River County, about 8 miles east of the Osceola County Line.
The man sustained serious injuries but was conscious and responsive at the scene, Jaworski said, but the woman was unresponsive and was flown to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.
Westbound S.R. 60 was closed at the site after the crash but had reopened at about 7:40 p.m., he said.
The investigation was turned over to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, who didn’t respond for further information.
