Florida gymnastics’ All-American Skye Blakely had a successful showing at the U.S. Classic on Saturday, winning both of the events she competed in at the PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut.
The rising junior earned gold medals on the uneven bars with a score of 14.10 and the balance beam with a 14.25, making her the only gymnast to score above 14.00 in two events. The Gators standout was also the only one of 21 participants at the event who competed during the 2026 NCAA season.
Blakely earned All-America uneven bars First-Team and balance beam Second-Team honors from the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association during the regular season last year, along with All-America First-Team honors in uneven bars and Second-Team for balance beam from the NCAA. She was also named to the All-SEC team and earned a share of the Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Year award.
Blakely was not the only competitor to represent the Orange and Blue in Hartford. Leanne Wong, who graduated from Florida in 2025, competed only on balance beam due to an arm injury suffered earlier in the week while preparing for the event, earning a score of 11.90 after modifying her routine to avoid putting her hands on the beam.
The other two participants with UF ties were incoming signees, Simone Rose and Dulcy Caylor. Rose claimed bronze on uneven bars with a 13.60 — but withdrew from floor exercise after competing in the first three events — while Caylor finished 15th in the all-around with a score of 47.95.
