PALM COAST — The Flagler County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a suspicious death in the 100 block of Florida Park Drive in Palm Coast on Friday, March 6.
Sheriff Rick Staly told The News-Journal deputies received a call for a welfare check at 4 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, they determined it was a “suspicious incident,” and then upon further investigation, the call became a “death investigation,” Staly said.
Staly said there’s no threat to the community, and that the sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate with participation from the State Attorney’s Office.
Deputies could be seen putting up crime scene tape around the property at about 9:30 this morning, and a crime scene investigations van was also parked in the street.
One neighbor, Raj Vohra, said the people who lived in the home, located across from the corner of Florida Park and Forest Hill drives, said they were very nice.
Vohra and his wife are always walking through the neighborhood and the residents always said “Hi” them. He didn’t much about them otherwise, he said.
