Five people trauma alerted to hospital after Ninth Avenue crash in Pensacola

Five people were hospitalized Sept. 8 following a serious crash in Pensacola on Ninth Avenue.

Pensacola police say that five people were trauma alerted to a nearby hospital following what they called a “serious” crash between Keating and Creighton roads, which briefly closed the portion of Ninth Avenue.

Department spokesperson Mike Wood told the News Journal two of the individuals are in critical condition while the remaining three are in stable condition.

At least one charge is pending for one of the hospitlized individuals, Wood said. A charge for improper passing is pending, but more charges are possible as the investigation continues.

Further information regarding the crash was not released.
