Firefighters douse blaze on yacht at Florida marina

Firefighters doused a blaze April 17 on a 40-foot yacht at Causeway Cove Marina in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County Fire District officials said April 18.

Crews responded at 11:33 a.m. to the marina at 601 Seaway Drive and found heavy smoke coming from the unoccupied boat.

Fire crews brought the fire under control. No one was injured and no one was taken to a hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No other information was available from the fire district April 18.
