NASCAR qualifying results set starting lineup for Kansas race

The starting lineup for the AdventHealth 400 is set.

NASCAR Cup Series drivers went through qualifying Saturday afternoon, and Tyler Reddick laid down the fastest lap time (29.142 seconds) at Kansas Speedway for his third pole victory of the season. He’ll lead the field to green a few minutes after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Sunday’s race will be the ninth of 2026 and will conclude the first quarter of the 36-race Cup Series schedule.

Kansas Speedway is similar to several modern tracks frequented by NASCAR — it’s a 1.5-mile asphalt oval banked at 17-to-20 degrees. The track was developed by the former International Speedway Corp., the Daytona Beach-based organization that was merged into NASCAR in 2019.

Track property includes the Hollywood Casino, which overlooks Turn 2.

Jeff Gordon won the first Kansas race in 2001. After 10 years of hosting one Cup race a year, Kansas became a twice-a-year host in 2011.

Hamlin is Kansas Speedway’s all-time leading race winner, with four Cup victories.
