Fights and fests on the to-do calendar this weekend in Jacksonville

Only in Jacksonville can one sing along to “Sweet Caroline,” solve some animal mysteries, save some sea turtles, see grown men thrown from angry bulls and watch cops and firefighters beat the tar out of each other, all on the same weekend.

“Zootopia 2” 

7 p.m. Friday, April 17, at Artist Walk. Free. 

Watch the animated film under the Fuller Warren Bridge. The city provides the popcorn; you bring a chair or blanket. Info: jacksonville.gov

Bulls, Bands and Barrels 

5 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. $68-$94. 

Barrel racing, bull-riding and country music from Dylan Scott and Tyler Nance, all under one roof. Info: jaxequestriancenter.com  

Guns n Hoses 

7 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at UNF Arena. $22-$48. 

Local law enforcement officers and firefighters have been facing off in the ring since 1999. The event has raised $1.6 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Fraternal Order of Police Foundation. Info: gnhjax.com
