Florida Highway Patrol troopers first detected the smell of cannabis coming from Philbert’s car during a traffic stop by the 165-mile marker of Florida’s Turnpike, at around 2:01 p.m. June 22, according to the report. The 165-mile marker is near the northern section of Fort Pierce.

Philbert and another passenger in the black Honda sedan denied having a medical marijuana card or drugs in the car.

Officers found a black container in the car’s trunk with a “large amount of green leafy marijuana,” the affidavit stated. They also found small amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA also known as Ecstasy, and a single dose of LSD.

The troopers found an electronic pipe with marijuana residue and a THC vape in the car, the affidavit stated.

Philbert was booked in the St. Lucie County Jail and released June 23 on a $16,000 bond, according to the jail’s website.
