FGCU women’s basketball coach Raina Harmon will ring in the new year by making her Atlantic Sun Conference coaching debut on Thursday, Jan. 1, at home against North Florida.
The ASUN announced its full 2026 women’s conference basketball schedule on Tuesday, including all 18 of FGCU’s games.
Harmon enters her first season replaceing interim coach Chelsea Lyles and founding coach Karl Smesko, who both left FGCU to coach with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream. FGCU went 30-4 in 2024-25, sweeping the Atlantic Sun regular-season and tournament titles and an 11th NCAA tournament appearance in 14 years.
FGCU will open with a pair of games at Alico Arena, playing Central Arkansas on Saturday, Jan. 3after hosting North Alabama. They hit the road for the first time at Austin Peay Jan. 8 and wrap up regular-season conference play on Friday, Feb. 27 vs. Stetson.
FGCU previously announced the Eagles would face perennial women’s basketball power South Carolin at Alico Arena on Dec. 20.
