Everglades City High School Class of 2026 graduated Friday, May 22 in the school’s gymnasium, on the 100th anniversary of the first graduating class, which had one senior.
The 11 Class of 2026 seniors at the school were among thousands of Collier County School District students graduating this year.
The school was founded in 1893. The school moved into a new building in 1895, but the building was destroyed by a tornado later in the year. The next school building was washed away by the 1910 hurricane.
The school’s mascot is the gator, and the colors are blue and white.
