The Florida State Seminoles are looking to snap their three-game losing streak on Saturday when they play the Stanford Cardinal for the first time in program history in Palo Alto, California.
Both teams are near the bottom of the ACC standings, with the Seminoles (3-3, 0-3 ACC) still looking for their first conference win of the year. Stanford (2-4, 1-2) is a perfect 2-0 at home this year and will look to keep it going against a reeling FSU team that is desperately trying to salvage its season.
Despite those recent struggles, ESPN’s SP+ is extremely confident in the Seminoles getting the win. The model gives them an 89% chance to win and is projecting a 37-18 victory for FSU, which would cover the massive spread.
While FSU’s defense is struggling to get stops, its offense is the best unit in the matchup and should be able to take advantage of a Stanford defense that is allowing 30.2 points per game and 418.3 yards. They have only allowed five rushing touchdowns this season, but teams are averaging 4.10 yards per carry against them, which ranks 12th in the ACC.
The game is set to start at 10:30 p.m. ET in Stanford Stadium. The game will be on ESPN with Roy Philpott and Sam Acho calling the game.
