Elite WR names FSU in top two, decision to come next week

Florida State recently added four-star wide receiver Brandon Bennett to their 2026 recruiting class. They have found themselves in a prime position for another as four-star Keeyun Chapman has named them one of his top two schools, along with the North Carolina Tar Heels, and he will make his decision on June 27.

“Those two have been keeping in contact with me the most so those are the ones I’m going to stick with,” Chapman told Noles247. “I’ve been on a visit to both of them and they both showed pretty good love.”

The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder is the No. 171 overall recruit and the No. 24 wide receiver according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also been deemed the No. 10 prospect in the state of Alabama.

Chapman took an official visit to North Carolina on May 30, and he plans to go back this weekend. When it comes to FSU, Chapman took an official visit on June 6. However, he was back on campus on Wednesday for a 7-on-7 camp.

Several observers were watching Chapman closely as he competed. The group included wide receivers coach Tim Harris, offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn, and head coach Mike Norvell.

“It was good. The receiver coach, he was watching me mostly every game. That was important to me to see how he cares about me,” Chapman said.

Chapman had an incredibly dominant junior season for Jackson High School. He put up 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns on 51 receptions. Just to put that in perspective, Chapman averaged 25.9 yards per catch and he scored a touchdown on every three receptions, which is astonishing.

This would be another nice addition for Florida State if they can get Chapman to commit. They’re also predicted to flip four-star wide receiver Devin Carter from the Auburn Tigers.
