Florida State has been in the mix for four-star linebacker Duyon Forkpa for quite some time. He was supposed to make his decision in June but he pushed it back. Forkpa made his way to Tallahassee last week for FSU’s game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Not only did the Seminoles win, but they pretty much manhandled them on their way to a 14-point victory. Per Chad Simmons of Rivals, the win gave Florida State a major boost in Forkpa’s recruitment.
“The Seminoles pulled off the biggest upset of the weekend, knocking off Alabama 31-17, and in the process, built significant momentum in Forkpa’s recruitment.
“Sources tell Rivals that Florida State is trending coming out of the visit. Forkpa spent valuable time with the staff and even watched the game alongside five-star linebacker commit Izayia Williams.”
Forkpa took several trips to visit FSU in 2024 and he has done the same in 2025. So, there’s a great relationship between him and the program. Now, it’s time to close the deal soon.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is the No. 252 player nationally and the No. 14 linebacker according to Rivals’ industry rankings. He’s also the No. 7 prospect in Maryland.
