Four-star running back Brayden Tyson already has 38 offers from some of the top programs in the nation. One of his earlier ones came from Florida State last January, and he’s made several trips to Tallahassee since then.
Tyson came to Tallahassee last April for an unofficial visit. In 2025, he’s visited twice, with the latest coming in June. On Tuesday, Tyson released his top eight schools, which included FSU.
Rivals’ industry rankings have the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder as the nation’s No. 150 overall recruit and the No. 13 running back in the country. The Brookwood High School standout is also the No. 20 prospect coming out of Georgia.
Tyson ran for 642 yards and added another 118 in receiving yards while scoring a total of five touchdowns as a freshman. His sophomore campaign was one to remember as Tyson ran for an unbelievable 2,123 yards (10.1 yards per carry) and tallied 26 scores. He also racked up 326 yards receiving and put up three more touchdowns.
Florida State got one of the best running backs in the 2025 class in Ousmane Kromah out of Georgia, and they’re currently recruiting the Peach State at a high level in the 2026 cycle. Tyson will be one of the names to keep an eye on for 2027.
