ECSO searching for PNC Bank robbery suspect who fled with cash

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed PNC Bank on June 1.

Deputies with the ECSO are currently searching for a White man who they say robbed the PNC Bank at Fairfield Drive and South Dakota Street.

“The man entered the bank, handed the teller a note and fled on foot carrying an undisclosed amount of money,” said Morgan Lewis, the ECSO’s spokesperson.

Lewis said the man appeared to be wearing a black wig and did not appear to be carrying a weapon. Deputies used K-9s to attempt to locate the man, but deputies believe the man may have entered a vehicle at some point after leaving the bank.

He was last seen running west on South Dakota Street.
