Dolphins sign former first-round pick WR after first minicamp session

The Miami Dolphins completely overhauled their wide receiver room this offseason, releasing Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and trading Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos.

While they added Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert and Terrace Marshall Jr. earlier in free agency and Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell and Kevin Coleman Jr. in the draft, the Dolphins apparently aren’t done adding.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Miami is signing wide receiver Jalen Reagor.

Reagor, 27, was a first-round pick (No. 21 overall) of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL draft out of TCU, where he earned All-Big 12 honors twice. After two years in Philadelphia, he spent one season with the Minnesota Vikings, more than one with the New England Patriots and nearly two years with the Los Angeles Chargers.

In 64 career games, Reagor has caught 86 passes for 1,037 yards and four touchdowns. In eight games last year in Los Angeles, he caught seven passes for 100 yards.

Reagor isn’t a top-three wide receiver on a good team, but he could compete for a depth spot in Miami over the next couple of months.
