Round 2 means it’s cut day at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am … right? Well, kind of.
Pebble Beach is the first event on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule that does not trim its field at the midpoint. Nearly all tournaments include a 36-hole cut going into the weekend. But all 80 pros playing across the two golf courses on the California coast will finish all four rounds. That said, their amateur partners — from Travis Kelce to Ron DeSantis — will pack it in after today, so in a way the cut will live on.
The Pro-Am is one of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events, meaning its field is significantly less than last week’s Phoenix Open (123) and close to half of the Farmers Insurance Open (145). It’s one of eight tournaments on the PGA Tour this year that doesn’t have a cut. Another one, The American Express in January, has a 54-hole cut. Other than that, though, every PGA Tour event has its participants deal with a cut line during the second round.

What is the cut line?
The field at a PGA Tour tournament is usually more than 150 players deep. To keep the focus on the event’s top contenders, most tournaments trim the field by about half after the second round, or 36 holes.
Exact cut lines depend on the tournament, but typically, the top 60-70 players plus ties after 36 holes qualify for the final two rounds. The score to par of the final player or players who meet that criteria is the cut line, and those who fall below it at the end of the second round will miss the cut for the weekend. The cut line is updated constantly over the course of the second round as players rise and fall on the leaderboard.
For instance, at the Masters, the top 50 players plus ties make the cut. For the 2025 Masters, the cut line was 2 over par, which 52 players reached after two rounds. Thirteen players finished right at the cut line, which qualified them for Saturday’s and Sunday’s rounds. The 41 players with scores at 3 over or more missed the cut and saw their tournament end Friday.
What is the cut line at Pebble Beach?
There is no cut at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, so all 80 pros in the field will play through the weekend. Their celebrity partners in the Pro-Am will not, however; Friday is their last day on the course.
What PGA Tour events have no cuts?
There are no cuts at five of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events and at all three tournaments in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The Sentry typically runs without a cut, as well, but the season-opening tournament was canceled this year. Here’s the full list:

The first two rounds of the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am broadcast nationally on Golf Channel. Coverage of Friday’s second round starts at 3 p.m. Coverage of the third and final rounds start at 1 p.m. on Golf Channel before switching to CBS at 3, ending at 7 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
