A Daytona Beach woman jailed for stealing from mailboxes in a Holly Hill neighborhood is out of lockup after she was released on her own recognizance, court records showed on March 24.
Carri Peggy Miller, 36, was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on March 22 after Holly Hill police arrested her on 63 counts of theft and 63 counts of fraudulent use of personal identification information.
She was released on her own recognizance after spending two days in jail, court records indicate.
According to Holly Hill police, officers responded on March 22 to the 800 block of Daytona Avenue after getting reports of a woman stealing out of mailboxes.
Police determined that Miller stole from mailboxes while traveling north on Daytona Avenue, a Facebook news release stated.

Miller was located at the Dollar Tree located at 1548 Ridgewood Ave. She was found in possession of mail from 63 addresses in the city of Holly Hill, police said.
The mail was recovered and submitted into evidence, and the Postal Inspectors Office was notified, the Facebook post stated.
Holly Hill police said a notification letter was sent to each of the 63 homes, and residents were asked to come to the police department to complete sworn statements, according to the Facebook statement.
Holly Hill residents were also provided with instructions on how to get their mail, police stated in the social media post.
