Lt. Andrew Bolonka, St. Lucie Sheriff’s spokesperson, stated the FHP is handling the case and referred questions to that agency.

Miranda said the law enforcement officer was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

She said a 7-year-old old child and two other adults had non life-threatening injuries.

Asked how the crash occurred, including the direction of travel of the vehicles and details about the unoccupied vehicle, Miranda stated because it was not a fatal crash those details weren’t available to her.

She suggested purchasing the crash report when it is done, which is available to the public for purchase.
