Cornerback target to take multi-day visit to Florida State

Florida State is making waves in the recruitment of 2027 three-star cornerback Romel Koon. He named them one of the top schools in his recruitment along with Kentucky and Virginia Tech back in February.

Koon took a visit to see FSU in January. According to his social media, he’ll be back in Tallahassee this coming week.

“WILL BE AT FLORIDA STATE from the 6-7th AGTG !!!,” Koon wrote.

The 6-foot, 165-pounder is the No. 935 overall recruit and the No. 91 cornerback per Rivals industry rankings. He’s the No. 33 prospect in Tennessee as well.

In addition to playing cornerback, Koon also plays wide receiver at Brentwood Academy High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his freshman and sophomore seasons, Koon registered 347 yards and two touchdowns. He also produced 50 tackles, seven pass breakups, and one interception as a sophomore.

Florida State could create some separation between themselves and the other top schools in Koon’s recruitment with a great visit.
