For the third straight season, FSU baseball is hosting an NCAA Regional. The Seminoles found out Monday that they are the No. 10 overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament.
They will host the No. 2-seeded Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, No. 3-seeded Northern Illinois Huskies, and No. 4-seeded St. John’s Red Storm in the Tallahassee Regional at Dick Howser Stadium. The winner of the regional will face the winner of the Tuscaloosa Regional, which is hosted by the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide, in the NCAA Super Regional round for a spot in the College World Series.
The Seminoles (38-17) are 27-4 at home this season and have not played any of the other teams recently. While they have a winning record against all three, the most recent game was in 2016. However, Baseball America has placed FSU on upset watch ahead of the regional.
FSU is looking to make it to the College World Series for the second time in three seasons after coming up just short a season ago. They have had great success in the postseason under head coach Link Jarrett, going 6-0 in regional games.
Unfortunately, they will have to wait until Friday for the double-elimination tournament to start. The regional runs through Sunday or Monday, depending on whether a Game 7 is needed. Here is the full schedule:
