Community Health Northwest Florida pharmacist arrested by federal authorities

Community Health Northwest Florida announced one of its pharmacists was arrested by federal authorities in Pensacola on Jan. 23.

The identity of the pharmacist has not been released, nor have the circumstances leading to the arrest.

“The indictment has not yet been unsealed, which means we don’t yet haveadditional details or know the nature of the charges,” CHNF said in a statement.

“Community Health Northwest Florida will cooperate with any investigation, and we remain committed to our mission of serving our patients and the greater Northwest Florida community,” the statement continued.

Community Health Northwest Florida is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Escambia and Santa Rosa counties with 14 locations from Century to Pensacola to Milton. Founded in 1992 as Escambia Community Clinics, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit serves the uninsured and underinsured, including more than 9,200 unhoused patients, more than 2,200 uninsured children and 7,000 uninsured adults in 2024 alone.
