Welcome to another week of high school sports postseason action in the Pensacola area. A busy week kicked off Monday with the start of flag football district tournaments.
District tournaments for local teams will run through Thursday before the state playoff brackets are announced Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
Below is a recap of tonight’s action.
Flag football
District 1-3A quarterfinals
No. 5 Crestview 31, No. 4 Navarre 12
The Bulldogs upset the Raiders after Navarre beat Crestview 27-7 on March 31.
Crestview (8-7) will play at Niceville in the District 1-3A semifinals on April 21 at 6 p.m.
Navarre (7-9) is eliminated and its season is over. The Raiders would’ve had to win the district tournament to qualify for the state playoffs. Navarre was looking to return to the state playoffs for the third straight season, but instead ended its 2026 campaign on a three-game losing streak.
No. 3 Gulf Breeze 7, No. 6 Tate 0
The Dolphins edged the Aggies to advance to the district semifinals. Gulf Breeze previously beat Tate 19-0 on Feb. 16.
Gulf Breeze (9-4) will play at No. 2 Pace in the District 1-3A semifinals on April 21 at 6 p.m. Pace beat Gulf Breeze 27-0 on April 7.
Tate (6-8) is eliminated and its season is over. The Aggies had to win the district tournament to qualify for the state playoffs.
District 1-2A quarterfinals
No. 4 South Walton 25, No. 5 Escambia 6
South Walton will play at No. 1 Choctawhatchee in the District 1-2A semifinals on April 21 at 6 p.m.
Escambia (3-8) is eliminated and its season is over. The Gators had to win the district tournament to advance to the state playoffs. Their three wins this season were more than the previous two seasons combined.
No. 2 Booker T. Washington 58, No. 7 Pensacola 6
The Wildcats decimated the Tigers for the second time this spring, tying the program record for most wins in a season with 10. Booker T. previously beat Pensacola 61-0 on March 23.
Kamryn Hughes completed 23 of 29 passes for 449 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 45 yards. Dani Slattery ran for 145 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Devani Williams caught eight passes for 187 yards and a touchdown and ran for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Angel Atkins ran for a touchdown and Emerson Chawda caught a touchdown. Tensley Whiting recorded 12 sacks, while Idanna Yems recorded six sacks and an interception. Anijah Weatherspoon also intercepted a pass.
Booker T. Washington (10-1) will host No. 3 Fort Walton Beach in the District 1-2A semifinals on April 21 at 6:30 p.m. Pensacola (1-9) is eliminated and its season is over. The Tigers had to win the district tournament to advance to the state playoffs.
No. 3 Fort Walton Beach 32, No. 6 Pine Forest 0
Fort Walton Beach (6-10) will play at No. 2 Booker T. Washington in the District 1-2A semifinal on April 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Pine Forest (0-10) is eliminated and its season is over. The Eagles had to win the district tournament to advance to the state playoffs.
