Daytona International Speedway is on tap for a busy day of racing ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400. But will the rain allow the show to go on?
The schedule calls for qualifying this afternoon for the Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series races before the Wawa 250 runs tonight. The forecast, on the other hand, calls for thunderstorms starting at almost exactly the same time. AccuWeather predicts a 50% chance of rain at 3 p.m., right when Xfinity qualifying is due to get underway, though the hourly forecast does indicate the worst of the storms might hold off long enough for the race to finish.
Saturday afternoon looks stormy, as well, but the forecast suggests the track could be dry in time for the NASCAR regular-season finale to get rolling in the evening. Whether the Coke Zero Sugar 400 goes uninterrupted for a second straight year is tough to tell, though: AccuWeather gives it a 50% chance of storming about 9 p.m.

Expect about 2 hours of rain tonight and 1 on Saturday, and hope it comes on the drive home and the Air Titans get their workouts before the prime-time races start.
