It’s a two-man race at the BMW Championship. Robert MacIntyre has maintained his lead throughout the FedEx Cup playoff event, but he’ll have to hold off Scottie Scheffler for one more day.
MacIntyre started the tournament with a 62 and saw his five-stroke lead drop to only four entering the final round. The Scotsman is looking for his first win of the year after finishing second at the U.S. Open, while the world No. 1 is out to get his fifth en route to a potential second straight FedEx Cup.
Ludvig Åberg enters the day six strokes back. The race to qualify for next week’s Tour Championship is heating up, as well, with Harry Hall shooting up from 45th in the points standings to 25th after shooting 8 under through three rounds. Michael Kim hopes he can hold onto his place in the top-30, while Rickie Fowler and Chris Gotterup need a strong finish to secure their place in the season finale.
