The one-of-a-kind 2026 Infrantry Squad Vehicle-Utility from General Motor’s military-based subsidiary, GM Defense, will be up for bid, thanks to the manufacturer’s partnership with the Scottdale-Arizona-based auction house.

The 2.8 liter turbo-diesel powered vehicle will be among more than 800 cars presente during the event. The wide-ranging lineup will include classic cars as diverse as the 1964 Dodge Polara Custom Coupe and the marquee 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista.

Emblazoned with decorations celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary and the military forces that use the vehicle, the off-road Infantry Squad Vehicle-Utility was built on a Chevrolet Colorado platform. It will be among four charity-auction vehicles on the bidding block.

As with previous Barrett-Jackson charity-auction items, 100% of these vehicles’ hammer prices will go to a partnered nonprofit organization.

In the case of the GM Defense vehicle, the money raised will help fund the Medal of Honor Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is the official philanthropic arm of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.

“Partnering with the Medal of Honor Foundation to offer this ISV-U at Barrett-Jackson is a powerful way to connect our mission-focused technology with a cause that honors the very best of American service,” GM Defense President Steve duMont said in a release. “This vehicle was designed to help soldiers accomplish their missions in the toughest conditions, and we’re proud that its first public sale will directly support the foundation’s work to care for recipients, preserve their stories and inspire future generations with the values embodied in the Medal of Honor.”

Unlike most car auctions, every item on the docket will be sold with no reserve, meaning there is no minimum bid required. The vehicles will go to the highest bidder before the hammer drops to end the sale.

High-performance supercars on the docket include a 2024 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, which features the company’s signature Grigio Telesto coat, a solid-gray paint with metallic flakes to give the car a pearlescent/metallic finish.

There’s also the 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Black Series Project One Edition, a 720-horsepower, real-wheel drive sports car featuring an Obsidian Black Metallic finish inspired by the brand’s famed W11 Formula 1 car. It’s one of the 40 Project One Black Series produced by the German carmaker.

The auction will be livestreamed on the FYI and The History Channel. It also can be viewed live via the Barrett-Jackson app.

The auction also will feature hundreds of pieces of vintage automobile memorabilia, or “automobilia,” including vintage garage signs, showroom display posters and model cars.

To participate in the auction, a bidder is required to bring to the event a pre-registration form, state-issued identification, insurance and a payment method.

The event also will feature music, food offerings and sponsor tents. There also will be an exhibitor marketplace, where vendors will sell a host of products, including custom jewelry, antiques and handcrafted home décor.

General-admission tickets to the three-day event are available online as well as at the onsite box office. Admission provides access to the entire event site, except for private skyboxes and the auction block, which is reserved for solely bidders.

More information and ticket prices are available at  Barrett-Jackson.com. The fairgrounds’ address is 9067 Southern Blvd.
