Masters Week started at 8 a.m., on Monday after warnings Sunday night that the day would be a wash.
It turned out to be a short window.
The Augusta National Golf Club announced at 7:15 a.m. on Monday that patron gates will open at 8 a.m. for the first Masters practice round day and that parking lots were open. However, it suspended the round at 11:25 a.m. and said in a statement. “further updates will be provided and shared on Masters.com once available.”
The club had announced on Sunday that gates might not open for an undetermined time.
