PANAMA CITY ― The Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation will host its annual gala, Midnight Masquerade, on Feb. 7 from 6 to 10 p.m.
According to a news release, guests will be greeted with complimentary valet as well as a glass of champagne sponsored by Emerald Coast Hospice.
“In 2024, we had nearly 2,000 patients who needed trauma care in our community, and we will likely surpass that number in 2025,” Robin Godwin, president and CEO of Sacred Heart Bay said in the release. “We are the only hospital in the area to provide this life-saving care and the community’s support will help us continue to grow this program.”
“The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour, sponsored by Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, featuring hors d’oeuvres and cocktails served from the Carter Platt PLLC Bar and the Engineered Cooling Services Bar,” the release says. “VIP sponsors and guests will delight in a private cocktail pre-party, courtesy of Jim and Nadia Smallwood, featuring hors d’oeuvres and unlimited cocktails.”
After the cocktail pre-party, Attendees will then make their way into the grand ballroom for a multi-course, seated dinner. The dinner is presented by Creative Printing of Bay County Inc., Hello Credit Union, and finished off with dessert presented by Clarity Mental Health.
Various doctors, physicians, hospital leaders, and patients will speak to tell how their lives have been impacted by Sacred Heart Bay.
The event will feature dancing and live music by Az Izz, courtesy of the Chapman Family. An evening photo booth will be provided and sponsored by Emerald Coast Hospice.
“There will be multiple fundraising opportunities throughout the evening with all proceeds benefiting Sacred Heart Bay Hospital, the community’s only faith-based, not-for-profit hospital,” the release says. “Maharaja’s Fine Jewelry will be showcasing a variety of their dazzling jewelry and provide the opportunity to win a $5,000 shopping spree to their store.”
There will be a live auction with auctioneers Chris and Michael Adcock who will be auctioning off various high-value items including a second $5,000 shopping spree to Maharaja’s Fine Jewelry. There will be a silent auction for guests to bid on a variety of items including vacations, gift cards, private dinners, gift baskets, and more.
“This event is more than a celebration; it is a testament to our community’s commitment to caring for one another,” Adrienne Maygarden, president of Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation, said in the release. “Every sponsorship, table purchase and paddle raised at Midnight Masquerade directly strengthens Sacred Heart Bay’s Level II Trauma Services, ensuring our community has the care they need close to home, when every second counts.”
