The “America” we all know and love has lost its freedoms. With the stroke of a pen on July 4 [2025], the United States of America gave up its right to freedom and liberty to please one man — President Donald Trump.
Republican congressmen and congresswomen gave our country’s culture and soul away for the price of loyalty to Trump. We are no longer the beacon on the hill. We are no longer the protector of freedom in the world. We are not even “exceptional” in how we govern. In fact, we are no longer kind and considerate.
No, we are now enslaved to our selfish, prejudiced, and greedy attitude. America has taken on the personality of one man and his memes. In just six months, the same man that incited insurrectionists to violently storm the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, resulting in four deaths to law enforcement officers, has sent his memes to the Capitol to destroy democracy and freedoms. The same man who was convicted of “sexual” harassment, is doing the same thing to our neighboring and allied countries. The same man that took us out of a world agreement to fight climate change, is the same man that took money away from USAID, SNAP, Medicaid, children and seniors to give it to some of the wealthiest people in the world.
Yes, America, you lost your freedom
Yes, America, you lost your freedom on July 4 and no nation in the world will help you get it back. You are alone in the world with your new culture of greed, selfishness, jealousy, envy, hatred and fear. Republicans that were voted into office have proudly handed over our precious freedoms to their “king,” Trump.
U.S. House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries tried for eight hours and 32 minutes to stop them, and get them to think about Americans’ needs. But Republicans simply ignored his pleas. These Republican politicians do not care about you or your family. “How does that make you feel?” What are you going to do about it?
If you care about America, then tell them! That is one of your rights they can not take away.
