Bargain hunters in Eustis will soon have a new place to shop as ALDI prepares to open its second location in the city.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the store, a former Winn-Dixie at 1955 N. State Road 19, is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
A few weeks ago, the opening was projected for the fall, but a media release from the ALDI PR team confirms the August grand opening.
Early birds are in for a treat, as the first 200 customers will receive a gift bag featuring a sampling of ALDI products, along with a gift card through the retailer’s “Golden Ticket” giveaway program.
“At our new Eustis ALDIstore, customers will see why so many already choose ALDI for their weekly grocery shopping,” said Matt Thon, regional vice president for ALDI, in a media release.
“As shoppers look to stretch their dollar further, we’re excited to open this new location and bring more people a high-quality grocery selection they want and need at the lowest possible price.”
Regular store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. According to the company, nearly 90% of the items on its shelves are exclusive brands. Shoppers can also expect the retailer’s rotating weekly selection of limited-time seasonal items and home goods, known as “ALDI Finds.”
The new Eustis location is part of the grocer’s aggressive national expansion plan, which aims to reach 3,200 stores nationwide by the end of 2028. Like most of its locations, the new store will also offer grocery delivery and curbside pickup options.
