The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that seven players will be inactive for the team’s Week 4 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
On game days, teams are permitted to have only 48 players active and available.
Two practice squad elevations for the Jaguars this week, in addition to those on the 53-man roster, means that seven players have to be inactive.
Jaguars vs. 49ers Week 4 inactives
Turns out the Jaguars will be without Brown. He was listed as questionable on Friday after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 3 against Houston.
The Jaguars elevated Austin Trammell to boost the receiver depth, but in place of Brown will be Parker Washington, who will take on a larger role.
Hailassie–the team’s fifth safety–and Schrader–the Jaguars’ fourth running back–will again be inactive this week. Both players were recent additions and are, to some degree, likely still getting acclimated to the new systems.
Abdullah sustained a hamstring injury during Friday’s practice. Without him available, BJ Green will make his NFL debut and likely help out on special teams.
Saunders is inactive for the third straight game, and Milum is again sidelined as he works his way back from a knee injury sustained in training camp.
Striggow has been inactive in each of the four games as well. The Jaguars are leaning on their star power and experience at defensive end.
