Florida State has gotten several commitments on the defensive line for its 2026 recruiting class. They are in the hunt for more as they spent two days with three-star edge Keysaun Eleazer earlier in the week.
Eleazer spent a lot of time around defensive coordinator Tony White and defensive line coach Terrance Knighton. Of course, how he would fit in the Seminoles’ 3-3-5 scheme came up, and he was pleased with what he heard.
“I just left a meeting with the d-line coach and see how they plan on using me,” Eleazer told Noles247. “That really stood out to me. See how I would be utilized and see how it could transfer or get me to the next level, as that is ultimately the next goal.
“So it starts as a Jack and they see me developing into a guy that could play boundary and true end.”
Eleazer went more into what White and Knighton see him doing in Tallahassee.
“I take that they would use me in a lot of different ways,” Eleazer said. “Utilize my versatility. Have it go with my skillset as I develop over the years.”
Eleazer is the No. 47 edge and the No. 491 overall prospect in the nation per the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of North Carolina, Eleazer is the No. 22 recruit.
The 2024 campaign was a big one for Eleazer. He racked up 81 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 18 hurries, one interception, two pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries per MaxPreps.
A decision for Eleazer is expected on July 22. It’ll be interesting to see if Florida State tries to get him back in Tallahassee before he makes his decision.
