Catch the world-famous motocross and BMX daredevils Nitro Circus this Saturday for free at Big Bear Lake’s concert series extravaganza.

The day kicks off with the opening of the outdoor beer garden at 4 p.m. at the Moonridge Lot, located at 42600 Moonridge Road, Big Bear Lake. Following the social hour is the debut of professional Nitro Circus athletes from 5:30 to 6:25 p.m. and again from 7:15 to 7:35 p.m.

Co-founded in 2003 by motocross superstar Travis Pastrana, Nitro Circus has since grown into a multi-platform phenomenon with freestyle motocross athletes blending high-flying stunts and tricks with comedic antics during the live shows.

Nitro Circus athletes are at the top of their game in FMX, BMX, skate and scooter. To date, over 3 million customers have purchased tickets to witness the incredible show the daredevils put on. The free demonstration for Big Bear and the surrounding residents is a major bonus.

Following Nitro Circus will be a skate demo from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. and again from 7:45 to 9 p.m. Watch professional skateboarders throw down tricks on a custom-built OC Ramps setup. This local Southern California family-owned business is a leading manufacturer of DIY skateboard ramps, grind rails and box kits. Stop by the ramp during one of the live demonstrations to cheer on the talented athletes.

Close the jam-packed evening with live music from pop punk band The High Curbs at 6:30 p.m., followed by punk favorites Ant Farm at 7:45 p.m.

This concert series is the third annual event of its kind in the mountain community. Event organizers are recommending participants arrive around 4 p.m. to secure free parking. For more information, visit www.bigbearmountainresort.com.
