Mark your calendars! The Women’s Giving Fund of the Inland Empire Community Foundation will host its annual “Spring Fling: The Power of the Purse” on March 22 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa.
This is the first time the event, which will include a champagne brunch, designer gift bag opportunity drawings and grant awards, will take place in the Coachella Valley.
This year’s theme is “Championing Women, Strengthening Our Region.” Attendees from across the Inland Empire will gather to celebrate this year’s Women of Achievement honorees and the grants awarded to nonprofit organizations that are working to improve the lives of women and families in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Women of Achievement awards will be given in the following categories: corporate/business leader, nonprofit/government leader and community leader. Each of the three women honored will receive a $5,000 grant, which will go to the women-serving nonprofit of her choice. Additionally, four nonprofits will be awarded grants totaling $55,000.
The brunch will provide an opportunity for community members to connect with like-minded changemakers while spotlighting the women and organizations that are creating lasting impact across the region.
Join IECF on March 22 and experience the power of women’s philanthropy, inspiring stories and more.
The Women’s Giving Fund was established in 2017 by a diverse group of professional women whose goal was to create an inclusive opportunity for female donors to learn about women’s economic security issues, focus their giving on issues impacting women and children and experience the power of collaborative philanthropy. Since 2018, when WGF grantmaking began, more than $320,000 has been distributed to nonprofits and research benefiting women and families.
